The Callaway Opus SP+ and Cleveland RTZ are both forged tour grind wedges in chrome, but the RTZ offers many more ways to fit your bag. It runs from 46° to 64° across 11 lofts, with bounce from 4° to 12° and four grinds: Adapt, Full, Low and Mid. The Opus SP+ covers 54° to 60° in four lofts, with 8° to 12° of bounce and three grinds, S, X and Z. If you want a low bounce option for firm turf or a loft below 54°, only the RTZ has it. The Opus SP+ is the newer design, 2026 against 2025, and the only one tagged with tungsten weighting and multi-material construction. The RTZ answers with progressive lofts and variable face thickness.
For most golfers the Cleveland RTZ is the better pick. It is $10 cheaper per wedge at $149.99 MSRP, and its wider loft, bounce and grind range makes it easier to match to your swing and your course. Being the older release, it is also the one more likely to be discounted. Choose the Callaway Opus SP+ at $159.99 if you only need wedges between 54° and 60°, want the newest design, and value tungsten weighting over a bigger fitting menu.
