Both cost $159.99 per wedge, come in chrome and sit in the tour grind category, so the split is fit options and construction. The Callaway Opus SP covers 48° to 64° across 8 lofts, with bounce from 7° to 14° and five grinds (C, S, T, W and X). That range lets you build a full set from gap wedge to lob wedge and match the sole to soft turf, firm turf or a steep attack angle. The Callaway Opus SP+ narrows the lineup to 54° to 60°, 8° to 12° of bounce and three grinds (S, X and Z), and adds tungsten weighting to its forged, multi-material head. It suits a golfer who already has gapping sorted and wants the newer construction in the scoring lofts.
For most golfers the Opus SP is the safer pick. It fits more lofts and more turf conditions, and as the 2025 model it is the one more likely to turn up discounted. Choose the Opus SP+ if you play only 54° through 60°, want the 2026 design with tungsten weighting, and are willing to give up loft and grind choices to get it. If price matters most, take the older Opus SP. If having the newest head matters more than fit range, take the Opus SP+.
