Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the GolfSource web application operated by GolfSource ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

GolfSource provides a database of iron golf club specifications, a carry-distance-based iron matching tool, and editorial content including buying guides, gear comparisons, and tips (the "Service"). The Service is intended for informational and recreational purposes to help golfers research and select equipment.

2. User Accounts

Some features of the Service require you to create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for an extended period, with or without notice.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from the Service without our prior written consent
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems
  • Transmit any harmful, offensive, or disruptive content
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent

4. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Golf club specifications published on GolfSource — including loft angles, lie angles, offset measurements, and other technical data — are provided for informational purposes only. These figures are approximate and sourced from manufacturer documentation, industry publications, and independent measurements. Actual specifications may vary due to manufacturing tolerances, model year changes, regional variations, and aftermarket modifications.

Iron matching results generated by our recommendation tool are algorithmic estimates based on the carry distances you provide. They are not a substitute for a professional club fitting with a certified fitter. We strongly encourage you to conduct an in-person fitting before purchasing new equipment.

We make no representation or warranty that the data on the Service is complete, accurate, or up to date.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of GolfSource. Brand names, trademarks, and product names referenced on the Service belong to their respective owners. Mention of these brands does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by them.

6. No Warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GOLF INTEL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES — ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will indicate the effective date of the most recent revision at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
