The Callaway Opus SP+ and Cobra King Wedge are both forged tour grind wedges in chrome, but they are built around different ideas of choice. The King Wedge runs from 48° to 60° across 7 lofts, with bounce from 7° to 12° and 4 grinds (D, T, V and W). The Opus SP+ stays in the scoring range, 54° to 60° across 4 lofts, bounce 8° to 12°, and 3 grinds (S, X and Z). That makes the Cobra the easier set to gap through the bag, and its Progressive Lofts tag reflects that full-set approach. The Callaway concentrates on the four short lofts and adds Tungsten Weighting and Multi-Material construction, which points to a player who wants a more engineered head in the 54° to 60° slots.
For most golfers the Cobra King Wedge is the pick. It lists at $139.99 against $159.99, a $20 saving per wedge, it covers more lofts, bounces and grinds, and as the 2025 design it is the one more likely to be discounted. Choose the Callaway Opus SP+ if construction and feel matter more than price, you only need lofts from 54° to 60°, and you want the 2026 release. If gapping, fitting flexibility and price drive the decision, the King Wedge wins.
