Both are forged tour grind wedges with progressive lofts and a chrome finish, so the Callaway Opus SP and Cobra King Wedge separate on fitting range and price. The Opus SP runs from 48° to 64° across 8 lofts, with bounce from 7° to 14° and five grinds: C, S, T, W and X. The King Wedge covers 48° to 60° in 7 lofts, bounce from 7° to 12°, and four grinds: D, T, V and W. That extra reach matters if you want a 64° lob wedge or the 14° bounce W grind for soft turf and a steep attack angle. The King Wedge still has low bounce T grind options at 58° and 60° for firm conditions, and its V and D grinds cover most deliveries.
Choose the Callaway Opus SP if fitting precision is your priority. The wider bounce spread, the fifth grind and the 64° option give you more ways to match sole to swing and course. Choose the Cobra King Wedge if price matters more. At $139.99 MSRP it is $20 cheaper per wedge than the Opus SP at $159.99. A player who fits comfortably inside 48° to 60° with 7° to 12° bounce gives up very little by picking the King Wedge.
