Cobra built the Fly-Z XL to do one thing well: get the ball in the air for golfers who fight a low, weak flight. If your driver shots balloon short or knuckle off the tee, this is the club that was designed with your swing in mind. It sits in the Max Game Improvement bucket for a reason, and it does not apologize for it.
The full 460cc head, high-launch build, and light overall weight work together to add height and carry for moderate swing speeds. There is offset in the hosel to help square the face and take the right side out of play, which is a real help if a slice is the miss you dread most. Cobra also gave it adjustable loft, so you can dial the launch up or down a couple of degrees as your swing changes or the course demands.
Be clear about what this is. The Fly-Z XL rewards a specific golfer and struggles to serve everyone else. A fast, aggressive swinger will spin it too much and lose control of the flight. But for the player it was built for, few 2015 drivers make the game feel easier off the tee, and used prices now make it a genuine bargain.
