The Ping S259 and Cobra King Wedge are both tour grind wedges in chrome, but the fitting menus are very different. The S259 runs from 46° to 62° across 9 lofts, with bounce from 6° to 14° and 6 grinds (B, E, H, S, T and W). The King Wedge covers 48° to 60° in 7 lofts, bounce from 7° to 12°, and 4 grinds (D, T, V and W). That extra range matters if you need high bounce for soft turf or a steep attack angle, or want lofts outside 48° to 60°. The King Wedge is the only one tagged Forged and Progressive Lofts, and it is the cheaper club at $139.99 per wedge against $217.5 for the S259, a gap of $77.51.
Pick the Ping S259 if fitting precision is the priority. More lofts, more bounce and more grinds give you a better chance of matching sole to swing. Pick the Cobra King Wedge if price matters more, or if a forged head appeals to you. It is also the 2025 design against a 2026 release, so it is the one more likely to be discounted. For most golfers who fall within the 48° to 60° window and moderate bounce, the King Wedge saves real money without giving up much.
