And what you see is not much, which is the point. The Madison has no alignment aid at all, no line, no dot, nothing. That will scare off some players and thrill others. If you aim with the topline and the shape of the head, a clean crown like this can actually make aiming easier because there is nothing competing for your attention. If you rely on a sight line to square yourself up, this is the wrong putter, and there is no shame in admitting that.
With mid toe hang, the Madison is built for the majority of golfers, the ones with a slight to moderate arc in their stroke. It rewards a stroke that opens and closes naturally through the ball rather than one that tries to move straight back and straight through.
Toulon mills its faces with a deep diamond pattern that does two jobs. It softens the sound and feel at impact, taking the click out of steel on ball, and it grabs the cover for a fraction longer to promote a quicker forward roll. On fast greens this face is noticeably quieter than a raw milled flat face, and distance control benefits from that muted feedback because your hands learn the pace faster than your ears do. The head itself is a traditional blade shape with the weight biased toward the heel and toe, and the hosel configuration produces mid toe hang, roughly forty five degrees when you balance the shaft on your finger. Nothing about the geometry is experimental. This is a classic form executed with tight milling tolerances and a finish that resists glare at address.
