PXG's Bat Attack ZT is a high-MOI mallet built for golfers who lose strokes on the greens, not on the tee. The name isn't marketing fluff. This is a wide, heavy head with weight pushed to the far corners, which is exactly what keeps the face from twisting when you catch a putt off the toe or the heel.
The ZT is face balanced, so the face stays pointing at the sky when you balance the shaft across your finger. That tells you what it wants to do: hold a square face through a straight-back, straight-through stroke. If you have very little arc in your putting motion, this is the geometry that suits you. There's an alignment aid up top to help you set the face and the ball on the same line before you pull the trigger.
PXG builds these to a price that reflects the machining and the adjustable weighting they're known for, not the tour-van mystique. You're paying for stability and a putter that forgives the misses that actually cost you, which for most amateurs is a mishit far more often than a misread.
The Bat Attack ZT gets its forgiveness from mass distribution. Perimeter weighting parks grams at the extreme heel and toe, which raises the moment of inertia and keeps the head resisting rotation on off-center strikes. A putt struck a quarter inch off the sweet spot still rolls close to your intended speed and line instead of dying short and left. Face balancing pairs with that high-MOI shape on purpose. Face-balanced putters minimize toe hang, so the head doesn't want to open and close through the stroke. Line up the alignment aid, make a straight stroke, and the design does the rest of the work holding the face square at impact.
PXG brings a distinctive approach to putter design, focusing on quality materials, precision manufacturing, and performance-driven engineering.
