Titleist built the TSi2 for golfers who want more forgiveness without giving up ball speed. It arrived in 2021 as the middle of the TSi driver family, higher launching and more stable than the compact TSi3, and easier to hit than most of what Titleist had put out before it. If you always liked the idea of a Titleist driver but felt the brand's heads asked too much of you off the tee, this is the one that changed that.
The headline is the face. Titleist used an aerospace-grade titanium called ATI 425 that had never been in a driver before, which let them make the face lighter and more uniform across a wider area. The payoff shows up on mishits, where ball speed holds better toward the heel and toe than it does on a lot of drivers at this price. Center strikes are long, but the real gain is what happens when you miss the middle.
This is a driver you can set and forget. The SureFit hosel and moveable sole weight give you real adjustability, but most players will find a setting and leave it there. It rewards a repeatable swing more than a manufactured one.
Other players distance fairway wood models from different brands, closest to its model year.
