The PXG Lightning Tour and the PXG Lightning Tour Mid share almost everything on paper: 460cc heads, an adjustable hosel, the same 8°, 9° and 10.5° loft options, and the same $499 price. What separates them is category and flight. The Lightning Tour is a tour driver tagged Low Spin, built for players who generate plenty of speed and want to take spin off the ball. The Lightning Tour Mid is a players distance driver tagged High Launch, which points to a more forgiving profile and an easier, higher flight. Shaft choice differs too. The Lightning Tour comes with two stock options, the Fujikura Ventus Blue 7 in x-stiff or the Ventus Blue 6 in stiff, while the Mid offers only the Ventus Blue 6 in stiff.
