Ben Hogan doesn't make clubs for everyone, and the VKTR+ is a good example of why that's a feature. Released in 2020 through the company's direct-to-consumer model, this hybrid was built for the golfer who normally avoids hybrids. You know the type. They've tried a mainstream hybrid, hooked three drives' worth of golf balls into the left trees, and gone back to a 3-iron they can't hit either.
The VKTR+ takes aim at that exact problem. The profile is compact and closer to an iron than a fairway wood, the lie angle is flatter than most hybrids in its class, and the shaping is designed to sit square instead of shut. Combine that with a hot steel face and internal weighting pushed low, and you get long-iron replacement distance without the sweeping right-to-left miss that scares better players away from the category.
Because Hogan sells direct with no retail markup, the VKTR+ also came in well under the price of comparable hybrids from the big equipment brands. That matters. A hybrid you can actually aim, at a price that doesn't sting, is a rare combination.
