These two tour drivers share a stock shaft lineup, a Low Spin tag and an adjustable hosel, so the split comes down to head size, loft range and price. The Callaway Quantum Triple Diamond uses a 440cc head and adds an 8° option below the 9° and 10.5° both clubs offer. That smaller head is usually the more workable, less forgiving one, and the lower loft suits faster swings that fight spin. The Cobra OPTM LS keeps a full 460cc head with the same Low Spin brief, which points it toward players who want spin control without giving up footprint at address. Both come stock with the Fujikura Ventus Blue 6 in stiff or the Ventus Blue 7 in x-stiff, so the shaft will not decide this for you.
Pick the Quantum Triple Diamond if you shape shots on purpose, swing fast enough to use the 8° head, and prefer a compact look. Pick the OPTM LS if you want low spin with more margin on off-center strikes. At $549 MSRP the OPTM LS lists $100 below the $649 Quantum Triple Diamond, and for most golfers who are not fighting spin at high speed, that gap buys the same shaft options in a more forgiving head.
