On paper these two are close to identical. The Callaway Quantum Max Fast and the TaylorMade Qi4D Max Lite both sit in the max game improvement category, both use a 460cc head with an adjustable hosel, both ship with the Aldila Ascent 45 senior shaft, and both carry a $649 MSRP. The one real split is loft. The Quantum Max Fast is offered at 9° and 10.5°. The Qi4D Max Lite is offered at 10.5° and 12°. That pushes the Callaway toward players with a bit more speed who want to keep spin down, and the TaylorMade toward slower swings that need help getting the ball up. Both carry a High Launch tag, so neither is built to fly low.
If launch is the problem, pick the Qi4D Max Lite. Its 12° option offers the most loft on either sheet, and there is no price penalty for choosing it. If you already launch it well and want the option to go lower, pick the Quantum Max Fast, since 9° is only available there. Golfers who would play 10.5° with either club can buy on feel and looks, because the head size, the shaft and the price are the same at that loft.
