The Callaway Elyte X and the PXG Lightning Max-10K+ sit in the same game improvement category, share a 460cc head, an adjustable hosel and a High Launch tag, so the differences come down to loft, price and age. The Elyte X comes in 10.5° and 12°, two lofts aimed at golfers who need help getting the ball up. The Lightning Max-10K+ adds a 9° option to its 10.5° and 12°, which gives faster swingers who fight spin somewhere to go. Stock shafts differ too. The Elyte X ships with a Fujikura Ventus Red 50, the Lightning Max-10K+ with a Fujikura Ventus Blue 5.
On paper the Lightning Max-10K+ is the easier pick. It lists at $499 against $629 for the Elyte X, a $130 gap, and it is the newer design, 2026 against 2025. The extra 9° loft only widens its reach.
