The Paradym Ai Smoke is a players distance iron that chases ball speed without making you give up the look of a real iron at address. Callaway leaned on an AI model trained on thousands of recorded golfer impacts to design the face, and the idea is simple. Spread the fast spots across the whole hitting area so your slightly thin and slightly heel shots still get out there and hold a line.
This sits in the sweet spot between a true players iron and a full game improvement club. The toplines are reasonable, the offset is moderate, and the soles aren't shovels. You still get a forged face wrapped around a hollow body, so the feel is firmer and more responsive than the clacky players distance irons of a few years ago. It launches high and lands soft, which is the whole point of the High Launch build.
What you won't get is workability on demand. The Ai Smoke wants to fly straight and far, and it's very good at that. If you fight to take spin off the ball or move it both directions on command, this iron will quietly resist you. For most golfers chasing more distance and tighter dispersion, that's a trade worth making.
