On paper, the TaylorMade Qi4D and the Cobra OPTM X are close to interchangeable. Both are 2026 players distance fairway woods, both have an adjustable hosel, both are tagged for high launch, and both ship with the same stock shafts, the Fujikura Ventus Blue 6 in stiff and the Ventus Blue 5 in regular. What actually separates them is loft choice and price. The OPTM X comes in five lofts, including a 4W at 16.5° that sits between the 3W and 5W. The Qi4D comes in four, with nothing between 15° and 18°. A golfer who wants a fairway wood to fill the gap between a 3-wood and a 5-wood gets that option only from Cobra. Anyone who only needs the 3W, 5W, 7W or 9W will find the two lineups identical.
The recommendation leans toward the Cobra OPTM X. It lists at $330 against $350 for the Qi4D, and it adds a loft the TaylorMade does not offer. With the same shafts, the same hosel adjustability and the same high launch profile, little on the spec sheet argues for paying more. Choose the Qi4D only if brand loyalty or feel matters more to you than price. If you are buying on price and loft options, the OPTM X is the better value.
