High Launch

Max Game Improvement Driver

The Launcher HB Turbo Draw is Cleveland's answer to a very specific problem: the slice that follows a lot of amateur golfers around like a bad habit. This is a 460cc driver built to launch the ball high, keep it in the air, and pull it back from the right rough (for a right-handed player). If you fight a fade that turns into a slice, this club was designed with you in mind.

Cleveland leaned on its HiBore crown design here, which sinks the crown down to lower the center of gravity and get the ball up without you having to help it. The face uses what Cleveland calls a Turbocharged cup face, meant to hold ball speed on shots you don't catch flush. Pair that with a draw-biased internal weight setup and you get a driver that wants to launch high and turn the ball over to the left.

There's no adjustable hosel and no movable weights. What you set at the counter is what you get. For the golfer this club is aimed at, that's a feature, not a limitation. You're not going to spend range sessions tinkering with settings. You tee it up and swing.

  • Slicers who want the driver itself to help square the face instead of relying on a swing fix.
  • Moderate and slower swing speeds that need help getting the ball up and carrying it.
  • Players who'd rather not fiddle with adjustable hosels and weights, since this head has neither.
  • Higher-handicap golfers who prioritize keeping the ball in play over shaping shots both ways.
  • Anyone stepping up from an older, smaller driver who wants maximum forgiveness at a friendlier price.

Câu hỏi thường gặp

Does the Launcher HB Turbo Draw actually help fix a slice?
It helps, but it won't erase a bad slice on its own. The internal heel weighting and closed-ish face bias nudge the ball left, so a mild fade or gentle slice tends to straighten out. A steep, over-the-top slice will still curve, just less than it would with a neutral driver.
Can I adjust the loft or face angle on this driver?
No. The Launcher HB Turbo Draw has a fixed hosel and no movable weights, so the loft and draw bias are set from the factory. If you want to change the launch or spin, you do it through shaft choice and loft selection at purchase, not by adjusting the head later.
Is this a good driver for a slower swing speed?
Yes. The lightweight build, low center of gravity from the HiBore crown, and high-launch design are aimed right at moderate and slower swings. It gets the ball in the air easily and helps carry distance for players who struggle to launch a lower-spinning driver.
How does the Turbo Draw compare to the standard Launcher HB Turbo?
The standard Turbo is a neutral setup for players who don't need slice correction. The Turbo Draw adds heel-side internal weighting to promote a right-to-left ball flight. If you hit it straight or draw it already, go with the standard. If you slice, the Draw is the one.
Will I lose distance by choosing a high-launch draw driver?
Not for the golfer it's built for. A slicer loses distance to sidespin and a weak, curving ball flight, so straightening the shot usually adds yards in the fairway. If you're a strong player who already launches it well, a high-spin draw head can cost you rollout, and a lower-spin model would fit you better.
