High Launch

Game Improvement Driver

The Stealth HD is TaylorMade's answer for the golfer who keeps watching the ball leak right. HD stands for high draw, and everything about this 460cc head is tuned to help you turn the ball over and get it up in the air. It sits in the game improvement bucket for a reason. If your miss is a slice or a weak fade, this is the Stealth built for you.

The headline feature is the 60X Carbon Twist Face, the red carbon fiber face that replaced titanium across the 2022 Stealth line. Carbon is lighter than titanium, so TaylorMade freed up weight and moved it low and toward the heel. That heel bias is what creates the draw tendency, and it also pushes the center of gravity down for a higher, easier launch. You still get Twist Face, the corrected face geometry that adds loft on high-toe strikes and takes it off low-heel ones to keep off-center hits from flying too far offline.

Comparing the three 2022 models makes the HD's job clear. The standard Stealth is the neutral all-rounder, and the Stealth Plus has a sliding weight track for players who shape shots and swing fast. The HD skips the adjustable weight and commits fully to forgiveness and draw bias. It launches the highest of the three, and it is the most willing to straighten out a slice.

  • You fight a slice or a fade you cannot get rid of, and you want the driver itself to help correct it
  • Your swing speed is moderate and you struggle to launch the ball high enough for good carry
  • You value forgiveness on off-center hits over the ability to fine-tune weighting and work the ball both ways
  • You want the draw-biased, high-launch version of the Stealth rather than the neutral standard model or the faster Stealth Plus

Câu hỏi thường gặp

Is the Stealth HD good for slicers?
Yes, that is exactly who it is built for. The weight sits low and toward the heel, which encourages the face to close through impact and produces a draw bias. It will not fix a badly out-to-in swing on its own, but for a mild to moderate slice it takes real curve off the ball.
What is the difference between the Stealth and the Stealth HD?
The standard Stealth is a neutral driver aimed at a wide range of players. The HD moves weight to the heel for a draw bias and lowers the center of gravity for higher launch, so it is more forgiving and more anti-slice. If your miss is straight or a pull, go standard. If it leaks right, go HD.
What swing speed is the Stealth HD best for?
It suits slower to moderate swing speeds. The high launch and low, deep center of gravity help golfers who do not generate a lot of speed get the ball airborne with enough spin to carry. Faster players who work the ball are usually better served by the Stealth Plus and its sliding weight track.
Is the Stealth HD adjustable?
It has an adjustable loft sleeve that lets you change loft and lie to tune launch and shot shape. Unlike the Stealth Plus, it does not have a movable weight track, so the draw bias is fixed. That is intentional, since the HD is meant to lock in forgiveness rather than let you dial the weighting neutral.
Is the carbon face on the Stealth HD durable?
The 60X Carbon Twist Face is built with multiple layers of carbon and a protective polyurethane coating, and it holds up to normal play. Early in the Stealth launch some golfers worried about carbon versus titanium, but the face is engineered to last a full season of regular use like any other driver.
