Tour フェアウェイウッド
The 915Fd is Titleist's low-spin fairway wood from the 915 line, and the name tells you most of what you need to know. The "d" is for deep, meaning a taller, more compact face and a smaller head than the standard 915F. This is the fairway wood built for players who deliver speed and want the ball to come off flat and hot rather than climbing into a high, spinny flight. If you fight a fairway wood that balloons on you, this is the head that fixes it.
The headline piece of tech is the Active Recoil Channel, a deep slot that runs across the sole just behind the face. It flexes at impact and springs back, adding ball speed while cutting spin. Paired with the Radial Speed Face, which varies in thickness across the hitting area, you get a face that holds ball speed even when you catch it slightly off center. The SureFit Hosel gives you 16 loft and lie settings, so you can dial the launch window and shape bias without touching a wrench to the head itself.
What it is not is a rescue club for slower swings or a forgiveness machine. The compact head and low-spin design ask you to strike it cleanly, and it rewards a downward, ball-first hit off the turf. Get that right and the 915Fd is one of the more penetrating, controllable fairway woods Titleist has made. It came in 13.5 and 15 degree base lofts, both of which trend stronger than the number suggests once you factor in the low spin.
- Better players with faster swing speeds who launch fairway woods too high and want a flatter, more penetrating flight
- Anyone who hits down on the ball off the turf and can deliver a clean, ball-first strike
- Players looking for a low-spin option to drive off the tee on tight holes where a driver is too much
- Golfers who want SureFit adjustability to fine-tune loft, lie, and shot shape as their game changes
- Ball strikers who prefer a compact, deep-faced head that sits down small behind the ball
よくある質問
- What is the difference between the 915Fd and the 915F?
- The 915Fd has a deeper, more compact head and produces lower launch and lower spin, built for faster swings and cleaner strikers. The 915F is larger with a shallower face, launches higher, and spins more, which makes it more forgiving and easier to get airborne off the turf. If you balloon your fairway woods, go Fd. If you struggle to launch them, go F.
- What lofts does the 915Fd come in?
- It came in 13.5 and 15 degree base lofts. Because of the SureFit Hosel, each of those can be adjusted up or down 1.5 degrees, so a 13.5 head covers roughly 12 to 15 degrees depending on how you set it. The low-spin design means both play stronger and flatter than the number alone would suggest.
- Is the 915Fd good for high handicappers?
- Not really. The compact head, deep face, and low-spin build ask for a clean, descending strike and decent swing speed to get the most out of it. Higher handicappers who need help launching the ball and want more forgiveness are better served by the 915F or a game-improvement fairway wood.
- How does the SureFit Hosel adjustment work on the 915Fd?
- The SureFit Hosel uses two separate rings to set loft and lie independently, giving you 16 positions in total. You can raise or lower loft by up to 1.5 degrees and set the lie flatter or more upright, which lets you tune launch height and left-right bias without changing the head or the shaft.
- Can you use the 915Fd off the tee?
- Yes, and that is one of its strengths. The deep face and low-spin flight make it a solid driving club on tight holes where you want to hit fairway and keep the ball under control. Set the loft down a touch and it becomes a reliable flat, penetrating option off the tee for accuracy over distance.
