The Epic Max is Callaway's forgiveness-first driver for 2021, and it sits between the standard Epic Speed and the low-spin Epic Max LS. If you slice the ball or lose speed off the toe and heel, this is the one Callaway built for you. The Max is the higher-launching, higher-spinning, more forgiving head with a heavy sliding weight for draw bias. If you spin the ball too much and swing fast, look at the LS.

Does the Epic Max help with a slice?

Yes. Slide the 16-gram track weight toward the heel and the driver promotes a draw, which counteracts the left-to-right ball flight of a slice for a right-handed golfer. It will not fix a badly out-to-in swing on its own, but for a mild to moderate slice it makes a noticeable difference.
